Quiet and very thoughtful, Zach isn't the easiest person to get to know immediately. I like that about him. Every time I get to spend some time with him I see more glimpses into who he is. The more I see the more I like and find him to be all the more interesting and wonderful. Zach answering the project questions was certainly a great view into his thoughts on life!
Zach is also one hell of a photographer! One of my favorite in Nashville. His images tend to have a sense of grace about them with just a slight tinge of oddity. It's a delicate balance and I so love and appreciate his eye for the world!
I'm happy that he and I got to spend the morning together. We arrived on location just after sunup. Neither of us had really explored the area much so we chatted and scouted around in my Jeep. When we saw something interesting we stopped, grabbed some lighting and gear, shot, and then explored on. It was a fun and relaxed way to shoot.

Love Aimlessly, My Friends
What gets you out of bed everyday?
Hmm… That’s a really good question. It’s probably the need to go out and do something. To create something. I’m big on the idea of full potential, that’s huge for me. I want to reach my goals and strive toward my full potential as long as I am here. Not that you have to wake up and do amazing things every day, but always being conscious of what you’re doing and what your goal is.
Also, I’m slowly becoming a morning person so it’s nicer to get up in the morning. Especially if the weather is nice. That really gets me up.
To date, what is the greatest lesson you’ve learned?
I don’t have a favorite ‘thing’. It’s always lots of things. Thinking about the greatest lesson… hmm… I mean… I think life is all about lessons. Especially in the last couple of years, since being done with school, I’ve realized that every experience is a lesson.
I’ve learned that just simply being nice to everyone… being positive and having a positive attitude is the way to go.
I’m usually a pretty positive person. I think that’s lead to me having a good life. Not that it’s great, but it could be a lot worse! I think that I’m where I’m at right now just because, for the most part, I’m nice to most people and just care for others.
Looking at the broader scope of things… I think it’s good to step back and look at who you are as an individual in this huge world. Look at where you’re at in your life as well as how much of it you have left and keep that in mind.
I guess overall, my lesson is lessons. Seeing that things happen and that you learn from those experiences.
What is love?
I would say that it’s more of a feeling than anything. Probably the biggest feeling. I think everyone interprets it differently, or tries to, but I think that you have to just let the feeling be. Associate it with other feelings and that’s how you know what it is in every situation.
